Mind Mapping for Career Transition

At some point you sat down with pen and paper, or with a computer, and made Lists (maybe creating a career transition list is one of your New Year’s resolutions). Lists can, and should, be comprehensive. However, it’s easy to omit items when doing lists in a linear, or diagram format. It’s pretty much a left brain activity.
Want to get the BIG Picture of all these lists and see how the pieces fit together?
“Mind mapping” – the “Swiss Army Knife for the Brain,” can be the answer! It’s a visual, non-linear brainstorming tool that brings together both the intellectual and creative sides of the brain. Instead of trying to categorize and weigh aspects of different lists, Mind Mapping allows you to gain a “big picture” view of your most valuable professional asset – yourself.
In this session, we will guide you to:
· Organize your professional history to better present yourself to employers
· Articulate what sort of assets you can offer a company
· Identify what is holding you back from being hired
· Prioritize your personal requirements in your search
· Pinpoint new skills which you could learn to increase your marketability
As the session wraps up, you will be well on your way to using this great tool to develop both clarity of what you are seeking & completeness to what you offer a future employer.
