In the workplace, we’re often asked to think differently or to think outside the box. These cliches can often ring hollow. They could, as well, have asked us disappear or perform some other miracle. How exactly are we supposed to think differently? Former bank CEO and facilitator, Bill Donius, deploys a technique he’s used for over twelve years, originating from Roger Sperry’s ground breaking, Nobel Prize winning research about the independence of consciousness between the left and right hemispheres of the brain. Donius conducted this technique with over 500 individuals and wrote a book based on his findings (pending publication due in early 2012).
The technique involves learning how to use the non-dominant hand to tap into the right hemisphere of the brain where information you have lies in your subconscious. Participants have retrieved creative, intuitive, and cut-to-the-chase information from utilizing this technique, gaining insight into the barriers and obstacles they confront in their personal lives and at work. All you will need to participate in, and learn in this workshop are a writing utensil and paper. Learn how to think differently – REALLY.
