GO! Network originated in 2009 as a short-term response to the needs of unemployed business professionals unable to afford private outplacement services and/or under-served by traditional services. Since that time, over 3,400 individuals have benefited from GO! Network’s services.
Organized by the St. Patrick Center, United Way and corporate leaders, GO! Network recently received its own 501(c)3 status. We are now able to move forward and build a sustainable model that adapts to serve the evolving needs of the professional community.
How We Work
GO! Network hosts a weekly series of professional seminars, workshops and job fairs to inspire, motivate and connect people to employment and entrepreneurial opportunities. For anyone in job transition, GO! Network offers an excellent opportunity to brush up on interviewing and resume writing techniques and to learn new skills that are essential in securing a position in today’s job market.
Our Mission
Through its unique, peer-driven approach, GO! Network’s mission is to deliver targeted resources, hope, job-seeking skills and networking opportunities to business professionals who once held supervisory, managerial, and technically trained positions.
Scope
GO! Network has grown to one of the largest and most comprehensive professional training, networking and coaching organizations in St. Louis. Seminar and workshop topics include traditional hard-skill sessions on resume writing, interviewing, and networking. Soft-skill sessions include personal branding, social media, and re-training. Unique sessions that stress, financial issues, volunteerism, and entrepreneurship are also offered. In addition, members can connect with area employers during career fairs.
All sessions are free and open to all.
Our Members
The population of unemployed professionals and GO! Network members in the St. Louis region is diverse, coming from all areas, including sales, marketing, project management, financial, administration, human resources, etc. and a wide range of industries.
For those who are looking to remain in their current industry and position, we work to provide programming that supports developing networking skills, resume writing, and interview skills. A number of our members are using this situation to explore new careers or new industries. For these members, programming is also offered to assist in exploring possible career change.
